Colonel Mike Saulnier’s key assignments include: Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Daegu and Area IV, South Korea; Chief of Staff, J-4, Joint Special Operations Task Force Iraq; Chief of Logistics and Operations, Joint Special Operations Task Force, United States Special Operations Command; Group Commander, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe; Commander, 528^th Special Operations Support Battalion (Airborne); and Battalion Executive Officer, 10^th Forward Support Battalion, 10^th Mountain Division. As the Commander of the U.S. Army Garrison Daegu and Area IV, he set the standard for combat readiness in his wartime mission. The garrison was selected as an Army Community of Excellence Award winner – twice. Serving as the Chief of Staff, Joint Special Operations Task Force, Iraq, and Chief of Logistics and Operations, Joint Special Operations Task Force, he successfully executed combat operations in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
