The Quartermaster Hall of Fame award is the highest form of recognition the Corps offers. This much coveted award honors individuals who are judged to have made the most significant contributions to the overall history and traditions of the Quartermaster Corps.

CSM Larry E. Ryles
Class of 2016

   Command Sergeant Major Ryles’ key assignments include: Command Sergeant Major, 101st Division Support Command, Fort Campbell; Command Sergeant Major, 8th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell; Command Sergeant Major, 240th Quartermaster Battalion, Fort Lee; First Sergeant, Headquarters Company 17th Combat Aviation Group, Yongsan, Korea; and First Sergeant, Headquarters Company, United States Army Garrison, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. Command Sergeant Major Ryles was a key player in leading the 101st Airborne Division into Saudi Arabia and Iraq in one of the division’s largest Air Assault missions in history.  Because of his leadership, he became the Command Sergeant Major of the Division’s Forward Operating Base, and he was the acting Division Command Sergeant Major for a large portion during the Gulf War.
