57th Quartermaster General Pins on Brigadier General Stars

Brigadier General Michael Siegl received the insignia and flag of a Brigadier General, US Army during a promotion ceremony at the Fort Meyer Memorial Chapel on October 12, 2022. The honor of pinning on the stars was shared by his wife Sura, his son Nathan and General Edward M. Daly, Army Materiel Command Commander, host for the ceremony. Quartermaster School Command Sergeant Major Tisa Scott assisted in the unfurling of General Siegl’s personal general officer flag and presenting him with the traditional GO Belt and pistol.  During his comments concluding the ceremony, Brigadier General Siegl expressed his sincere thanks to his family for their steadfast support throughout his career, noted his great good fortune in finding a career that provides such meaningful work, and affirmed his commitment to leading the Quartermaster Corps to continued great success and accomplishment. Of note, Brigadier General Siegl is the first Asian American to serve in the position of Quartermaster General.
